With a dream of bringing together premium designers from all over India for collaborative designs, Pernia Qureshi established Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop, which features products from over 100 premier designers. The dream was big, but the association between Pernia Qureshi and Digital Impressions worked towards achieving this. Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop was also our first try at designing and developing an e-commerce website.
WEBSITE DESIGN – The website aims to show everything that Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop is about, from the designs to the countless celebrities that adorn it to styling tips for visitors. With this objective in mind, the website was structured in such a way that visitors can easily navigate to the section that they were interested in – with the different sections being Home Page, Celebrity Closet, Styling Guide & Tips, Custom Looks and Product Pages.
WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT – As this was a website for online shopping, Magento was the platform of choice. To make sure the customers do not face any issues while checking out, easy sign-in options were added with CC Avenue integration also added in for easier payment.

PROJECT FAQ
Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop website project FAQs
The story behind one of our earliest and most ambitious fashion e-commerce builds—what we created, how we launched it and the technology that supported it.
Who developed the original Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop website?
What was Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop created to do?
Pernia Qureshi’s idea was to take leading Indian designer fashion to shoppers around the world through one carefully curated online destination. We translated that vision into a fashion marketplace that could showcase multiple designers, tell their stories and make discovery, selection and checkout feel effortless.
Which e-commerce platform and payment gateway did we use?
We built the store on Magento and integrated CCAvenue as the payment gateway. Magento gave us the flexibility needed for a growing multi-designer catalogue, while CCAvenue supported a dependable Indian payment experience at launch.
What shopping and editorial features did we build?
We designed the journey around more than product listings. The website included the Home Page, Celebrity Closet, Styling Guide & Tips, Custom Looks and detailed Product Pages, along with simple sign-in and checkout flows. The intention was to bring editorial fashion discovery and e-commerce together in one experience.
Which integrations supported the e-commerce operation?
The build brought together Blue Dart, cash on delivery, CCAvenue, PayPal, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Maps, live chat and social integrations. Each integration had a practical role—from payments and fulfilment to customer assistance, measurement and marketing.
What services did Digital Impressions provide?
Our mandate covered strategy, e-commerce website design and development, hosting and ongoing website maintenance. We were not simply delivering screens; we were helping turn a fashion business idea into a working, launch-ready digital commerce platform.
How large was the designer catalogue?
At the time documented in our case study, the marketplace brought together products from more than 100 premier designers. That scale shaped the way we approached navigation, product discovery, catalogue management and the overall shopping experience.
Where was the Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop website hosted?
We hosted the website on Amazon Web Services (AWS). For a high-visibility fashion e-commerce launch, AWS gave the project the dependable infrastructure and room to scale that the business needed.
When did the website go live, and how was it launched?
The website went live on April 9, after Pernia Qureshi put her foot down and made it clear that there could be no further delay. The launch arrived with real PR momentum and fanfare. In the run-up, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Suresh Raina and several other well-known personalities helped create buzz with the distinctive pink “Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop—Coming Soon” placard. It felt like a fashion launch, not just a website release.
